2021 - Purple4Polio crocuses photo gallery

For over 35 years, Rotary has been committed to eradication of polio across the world. There are now just two countries classed as endemic: Pakistan and Afghanistan. When a child receives their polio drops on mass immunisation days, their little finger is painted with a purple dye to show that they have been treated. So, we plant purple crocuses every year to support the campaign. Here, President Alan is preparing the ground for 1000 crocus corms at the Just Around the Corner Rehoboth Activity Centre near Wokingham.
