Mervyn Edwards is a former Police Specialist Firearms Officer who served in Thames Valley Police for more than 30 years and the Tactical Firearms Team for 15 years. His duties included protecting Margaret Thatcher after the 1984 Brighton hotel bombing IRA assassination attempt. Mervyn's talk will give interesting accounts about some of the operations in which he played a leading role.

The club meets on Tuesdays at 7 for 7:30pm at: Sonning Golf Club, Duffield Road, Sonning, RG4 6GJ on the 1st Tuesday of the month and at the Heron On The Ford, Landsend Lane, Twyford, Reading RG10 0UE on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
